I'm currently studying through a devotional called "Psalm 23 - The Shepherd with Me" during my quiet times. I find it funny, and just like God, that I came across this blog post and read earlier about how He MAKES us lie down in green pastures today. I'm thankful that rest is a necessity that He points out all the way back during creation, when He rested on the 7th day as an example for us. He truly fills up our cups to overflow and restores our souls when we rest in and with Him.
For me, I love to meet with the Lord in my secret place with Him once a day in order to really be filled up and have my heart and mind reminded for the day who I'm truly living for! Also, puzzles with my girls, coffee and worship music, or even going for run are great extra ways for me to spend time with Him. This may even sound crazy, but the Lord speaks to me often when I'm folding laundry or doing dishes! I'm so thankful that He is with me constantly.
