All the little pieces you leave in your writing are not insignificant in my life. Once again, your words blessed me this morning. With my writing, I trust the right words will fall before the right eyes in the perfect time. One day I pray my grandchildren will read my words and be blessed by them.

It is the little pieces that you leave behind Sarah that in this season of my life, in which I have often felt invisible, I feel seen and not alone as others have also trod this path.

Such wonderful words Sarah. I like to smile at everyone I meet, even if they're grumpy and don't smile back, but I feel I have acknowledged them. Most times a smile from someone makes you feel noticed and not invisible.

So true. Beautifully expressed. I can still quote the homemade card my father made for my 13 birthday on a brown paper grocery bag.

Love this, Sarah! I loved your Christmas memory. One year, when my husband wasn't working and things were tight, we decided not to do presents but I was a seamstress and had leftover fabric from weddings and fabric sales. I made my 2 daughters long green velvet dresses from a roll of velvet left over from bridesmaids dresses I had made. I bought 2 collars of white lace and they loved them! I also bought second hand crocheted doll dresses for theor stockings and they loved those as well. I also made husband pajama pants and a robe from extra fabric I had. They were all sad that I didn't get anything but I was so happy with their reactions.

I always try to make the cashier or salesperson smile. And on the street I give willingly. It's brought me so much joy in friendships, trust and the sharing of hard life stories. The rewards are priceless!
