How powerfully you have defined the “ catch 22” we find ourselves in….women, I find, are incredibly HARD on ourselves. With that comes a firmer resolve to do better, be better. When all the while, Our Lord, Our Creator, is calling us to “simply” let HIM, be HIM. To unclench our fists, exhale, and fall into HIs embrace while whispering His name . Thank you …..

There really is that striving that goes beyond growing… to learn, to gain wisdom, to walk in The rythym of Jesus. We add an extra layer and think we need to look 👀 put together or pretend that we aren’t struggling at times ❤️ so yes we can be incredibly hard on ourselves.

I'm still wiping tears. I saw this post by accident, or so I thought. I follow another writer on here, but when I saw your post, I felt drawn to read it. Now I know why. After many, many years of ministering in churches and considering myself to be a strong Christian, I found myself in a storm of anxiety. As you described it, it was little by little till a "perfect storm" happened and I was overwhelmed. Your words described my life. My life has changed drastically from a very independent woman, involved in ministry, working and very involved with family to someone who spends a lot of time at home, isolated. As I read your words, they could have been mine. I'm still in this storm. Everyday I pray for complete deliverence. I can say that my walk with Jesus is closer than it has ever been in my life. He has pruned and shaped me during this time. For that I am eternally grateful. I long for the day when I can reach out to others that are experiencing this same malady and tell them "Hold on, He'll bring you through it."

Thank you for sharing.

Isn’t God amazing? He can lead you to exactly what you need at the exact right time. And yes the pruning back is so hard, but like you, I found Him in a whole new way. Cheering you on in your journey lovely 🥰

These last several posts you've written have been my story also. And I agree, there are so many sitting in the church pews who are silently suffering the same things, and it makes me reluctant to speak my heartache to them. But we need to so they can also have the freedom to speak and know they are not alone. Although the past couple of years when I have tried to speak, another will come along with a 'bigger and more important' crisis and I once again get shoved aside and even kind of bullied into supporting their needs. I don't have the energy for that anymore so I again become silent. Thank you for your words, your prayer, and your willingness to share this experience so others, like me, know that we are not alone. God bless you, Sarah!
