"Consider the lilies of the field, how they toil not, neither spin. But I say unto you, that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed such as they are."

Ties right back along with your story to the character of Homer Smith, played by Sidney Potier, in the B&W classic film, "Lilies of the Field". Smith didn't exactly fit anyone's expectations either.

Wonderful thoughts and yes, I've been like the wildflower. I've also been like the dandelion, the lilac and even, at times, the rose... but the thing I hope I never allow myself to be is weed who comes to wipe out all the beauty created by the wildflowers of this world. Wildflowers, like you, who bring joy to my heart and hope to so many who see beyond their fears and tears, to the beautiful in a world scattered with joy and hope, peace and light, the wonder of a God who is more alive in each one of us than we can possibly understand or explain. This is the God who left wildflowers all over, wildflowers who cause us to hear the song of His love. I love, love, love this essay. Please never stop spreading your beauty. God bless you.
