It took me a long time to “lean in.” A counselor helped me see 2 things: 1. I was a beloved son of God, and 2. God delighted in me as a beloved son (as in Zephaniah 3), and was joyfully and lovingly singing over me. When I got in touch with those things, I started falling forward, and not running from the fight. Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you for sharing this.

We try to trust ourselves and to do it all on our own, but we can't. And we're not meant to. We are meant to fall into and be held by His hand.

This, “God, I trust You more than I trust my own footing.” Is a great zippy falling prayer. Thank you.

Thanks, Sarah, I love your post. Much like mine except you spoke so much more eloquently. My post today was about falling (ungracefully) into His arms. The act of giving up and surrendering because I had come to the end of myself and had nowhere to go but to Him and the beauty and blessings found in doing so. https://whyfaithoverfear.substack.com/p/life-sucks-and-then-you-die-or-do?r=3k2jxs

All roads lead to Him. That's the lesson. The real prize. Seek (fervor or persistence) and you shall find, knock (ongoing persistence) and it shall be answered, ask (making a request) and you shall receive an answer...
