People often think that because we attach the word Christian to our identity, we must have it all figured out. They look at us and assume we’ve got life sorted—like we’re somehow immune to hardship, untouched by doubt, or above the mess of this broken world.
And in truth, they’re right.
We did figure it out. But not in the way they think.
We figured out that life can still be hard, even when you follow Jesus. There are still bills to pay, conflicts to navigate, and days when you’re just too tired to put one foot in front of the other.
We figured out that giants don’t just vanish because we pray. We still have to face them, armor up, and fight. Sometimes, we’re victorious, and other times, we’re knocked flat, crying out for strength to try again.
We figured out that there are mountains we still have to climb. The view from the top is breathtaking, but the climb? It’s steep, and it demands perseverance we don’t always feel like we have.
We figured out that we stumble—a lot. On our best days, we take graceful steps of faith, but on our worst, we trip over pride, impatience, or plain old fear.
We figured out that grief, heartache, and illness don’t just bounce off our faith. They hit hard, and sometimes they linger. Faith doesn’t erase the pain, but it gives us a place to bring it.
We figured out that joy isn’t something that always comes easily. It’s something we have to search for in the chaos, something we choose even when the world around us screams otherwise.
We figured out that faith isn’t the absence of fear—it’s trusting God in spite of it. It’s learning to walk forward when the path ahead feels uncertain.
We figured out that grace is something we need every single day. Not just once, not just in moments of failure, but daily. We need His mercy and His patience, and we need to extend that same grace to ourselves and others.
We figured out that we can’t do life on our own. No matter how strong or capable we think we are, we weren’t designed to go through this life without leaning on the One who made us.
We figured out that we need a Savior—not just once at salvation but every moment. We need His presence, His guidance, His rescue.
We figured out that we were born for a purpose. Life isn’t random, and neither are we. God wrote us into His story, and every step we take has meaning, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
Most of all, we figured out that we are loved—deeply, unconditionally, and eternally—by Loveitself. By the Creator of the stars, the Father who calls us His children, and the great I AM who has been, is, and will always be.
So yeah, we do have it all figured out. But not because we’re perfect, wise, or strong. We figured out that He is perfect. He is wise. And He is strong enough to carry us through whatever life throws our way.
And that’s enough.
With love,

2 Corinthians 12:9: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
*Thank you so much for showing up every post! I know I can post a lot, (I kind of live here) but I love my amazing tribe and all the likes, shares and comments you offer in support of this space. All I have to offer are my heart words, and I hope that’s enough. Please take a moment to encourage someone else today, that could always use this encouragement. If you would like to keep this Christian creator… creating, and writing for the Kingdom. Please pray about becoming a paid supporter (totally optional of course) it blesses more than you could ever know and you can read more about what I do here!
