We are all wanderers, aren’t we? We wander through seasons of joy and sorrow, through quiet moments and chaotic days, through paths we never expected to take and roads we didn’t even know existed. We wander in search of meaning, of purpose, of peace. We wander in search of home.
And in our wandering, are we not seeking? Seeking answers, seeking connection, seeking comfort? We are constantly looking for something more, something that makes sense of the chaos, something that can fill the gaps in our hearts.
It’s easy to get lost in this wandering. Sometimes, it feels like we’re just moving, aimlessly, from one day to the next, hoping we’re heading in the right direction, wondering if we’ll ever really find where we’re meant to be.
But here’s the thing about wandering: we were never meant to wander alone.
There is One who walks with us in the wilderness, who holds us when we feel lost, who gently guides us when we stumble and fall. He is our Shepherd, our constant Companion, the One who knows the way when we can’t see the path.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.” — Psalm 23:1-3
We wander, but we are never forgotten. We wander, but we are always seen. Every step, every turn, every detour, He is there. Even in the places where we feel most lost, God is with us, leading us toward something beautiful—toward Him.
And maybe that’s the truth about this wandering: it isn’t about finding the perfect destination. It’s about learning to walk with Him, to trust Him in the unknown, to rest in His arms when we’re tired, and to know that He is enough to guide us home.
We are all wanderers. But we are not alone.
“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.” — Isaiah 42:16
So wander, dear one. But know that you’re never truly lost.
And in the end, He will lead you home.
Love, Sarah xx.

The best thing about wandering with your God is that you get to know him better. I like to talk things over with him. I like to get his ideas about what he sees through my eyes. Like walking around with your dad, asking questions and being a pain in the butt ha ha
I love your posts Sarah. It always touches my soul, so I share them with people that need to hear those words also my grandchildren, to help them grow closer to our Lord, Jesus Chris 💛
