Maybe You Don’t See It, But You’re Remarkable
A gentle reminder for the weary heart still standing
Lovely, this space has always held the weight of what most people run from. We’ve sat with grief. Named the wounds we were taught to hide. Held out trembling hands in the middle of healing.
These words were never meant to sugarcoat life. They were always meant to walk beside you in it.
But today… just for a moment… I want to shift the focus.
I don’t want to talk about the mess or the hard or the ache that still sits in your chest. I want to talk about you.
You are remarkable.
Yes, you.
The one reading this while holding a thousand things in your heart.
You, who wakes up every day carrying more than anyone knows. You, who shows up for others with quiet strength and soft hands, even when your own soul is worn thin. You, who doubts yourself and still dares to try again.
You might not see it in the mirror. You might not feel it when the day ends and the silence gets loud. But I need you to know something that’s been on my heart… You are a living, breathing miracle.
You have survived things that should have shattered you. You have kept loving after heartbreak. You have held on when everything inside you wanted to let go.
That is strength. Not the kind this world puts on a stage, but the kind Heaven sees in secret.
The kind that grows in the dark.
You are the one who listens when someone needs to be heard. You offer kindness in a world that often forgets how. You love deeply. You care even when it hurts. You give, and you try, and you hope… even when the weight is heavy.
And still, I know… you are your own harshest critic.
You would never speak to a friend the way you speak to yourself. You would never call them a burden. Or say they’re too emotional. Or not enough. Or falling behind.
So why do you let those lies live in your own mind?
Be kind to yourself, lovely.
You are not lazy for needing rest. You are not broken for crying more than you thought you would. You are not behind for healing slower than you hoped. You are becoming. And becoming is messy and holy and honest.
Speak gently to the one in the mirror. She has been through more than most will ever know. She is still standing. Still soft. Still here.
That, my dear, is remarkable.
Your softness is not weakness. It’s a gift. Your tears are not failure. They’re evidence of love. Your quiet is not emptiness. It’s depth.
Real is where God meets us.
You weren’t made to blend in. You weren’t meant to chase your worth. You weren’t called to be perfect. You were made for right now. On purpose. With purpose. For such a time as this.
Everything about you… your voice, your laugh, your prayers whispered into the dark… it all matters.
This world needs more hearts like yours. The ones that break and still stay open. The ones that get knocked down and still rise. The ones that choose kindness when bitterness would be easier.
You matter. You make a difference. Even when it doesn’t feel like it.
So breathe.
Let grace rush in and fill every part of you that feels unworthy. Celebrate the steps no one claps for. And remember, you were never meant to just survive this life…
You were meant to live it. Fully. Honestly. Lovingly. Let this be your reminder.
You are not invisible.
You are not too far gone.
You are not a lost cause.
You are a one-of-a-kind, hand-stitched masterpiece of God.
And you, lovely… You are remarkable.
Love, Sarah xx.
Reflection Question: What would change if you treated yourself with the same kindness you give so freely to others?
Verse: “I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” – Jeremiah 31:3
Share this with your sister, your friend, your neighbour. With the one who seems strong but is silently struggling. With the one who gives but never feels like enough.
Let this be a lifeline. Let this be love in words.
And if this space has ever whispered to your heart on a hard day… If it’s reminded you that you’re not alone, or helped you breathe a little easier, I’d love to invite you into the quiet behind-the-scenes space where I share more.
It’s a way to support this small, sacred corner, and a way to keep showing up together, in the honesty, in the hope, in the healing(always optional).
You’re remarkable. And I’m so thankful to be walking this road with you.
Right back at you Sarah. You are the most amazing woman. You fill our hearts with gladness when we read your writings. Your support is invaluable.
So much of this is whatvi needed to hear! Thank you for writing and sharing!
