By many standards I don’t have it altogether. I’m plus size and I don’t put on makeup every morning when I get up. Half the time I barely brush my long hair, opting for a messy bun that pairs well with leggings and my favourite jumper. I have tattoos, a major coffee addiction and I don’t smile every second of the day, because as a Mama of three, I’m tired more than I’m not. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I spent years trying to be the perfect Christian. Well, what a perfect Christian looked like to me. She had it altogether, walked with Grace, always remained calm and understanding. In my mind she had a house that looked like something out of a magazine, drove the SUV and everyone wanted to know her, because she had all the answers.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Well let me tell you... I don’t always have it together. I do not float with grace, I more like stumble and God catches me with HIS grace. Sometimes I lose my patience and fail at listening. I live in a fixer upper house and drive a twelve year old car and I am openly upfront about the fact I don’t have all the answers and I ask my Heavenly Father a million questions a day!
I’m just so thankful that there will never be a trophy for being the perfect Christian. Because there is not one of us that would ever win it. And can I just say… I love that I have this little corner of the world where I can share these ramblings with you all and come as I am. You won’t find perfect here and this space will reflect me, not the me I wanted to be, but the me that was created to be here… right now, writing her words and feelings out.
Beautiful daughters of the Most High, you are perfect right where you are in your life to share the love of God. Women want to see the real you, even if you’re like me, a messy bun, leggings wearing, no make up , daughter of God who doesn’t have it all together! What they see is so much more than appearances or financial status. They will see a blessed woman, who chooses God over everything else, most of all they will embrace your Christ like heart 💓 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Isaiah 64:8 - Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.⠀⠀⠀⠀

*Just a heads up, that next week I have a new 5 Day devotional releasing called, Finding Peace Isn’t Easy, which will of course be available for my paid supporters right here. If you value this little space of mine and want to bless this creator to keep on creating… please consider upgrading and as always keep on sharing Little Sparrow Loved with as many as you can. ❤️
I admire a girl that is willing to just be
her real self, and is not attempting to misrepresent, nor suspend reality.
Words Reveal Character — People will acknowledge who they are, by the words that they speak.
‘Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
But I say to you that every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement.
For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.’
Matthew 12:34-37 NKJV
Thankfully, God is in the heart changing business!
I love this. Too much pressure to be perfect.
