If there was ever a post I asked you not to scroll past, it is this one. I’m sitting outside right now with tears streaming down my face as the Lord placed this on my heart. There’s no editing as I type this out in my phone, just raw truth of what’s been placed within my grip.
Jesus knows…
Those are the two words that hit me hard in this moment. I don’t know why I woke up today feeling alone. And maybe it was to write this one message. But I did. I woke up and felt this utter loneliness and I sat here thinking about all the times in my life I had felt that way. I don’t want to write a list of all my trials, I want this piece to point back to you so you can reflect. And I don’t know what you’ve gone through or are going through.
Jesus knows…
Whether it was a grief from the loss of a loved one, a friendship, a distancing of a child, a miscarriage, unable to conceive. If you felt alone from abuse that no one saved you from or treated as if you were worthless. Brothers and sisters, the list goes on and as you read this… think about the loneliness you have felt throughout your trials.
Jesus knows…
And the reason I keep reminding you of this is, He really does know.
When our saviour sweated blood from what was to come, He knew the struggle of walking through a trial. When He was beaten, He knew the pain of cruelty. And when He hung on the cross… He called out, “ My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”
He knew loneliness in that moment as God turned away from the sin His son had to bear for us. Complete and utter loneliness that was so hard to bear, that He cried out.
Jesus knows…
So, I want to assure you today that the next time you take your hurt, your shame, your questions, your brokenness to Jesus in prayer.
He knows. If anyone understands the ministry weight and trials of life it is Him. Let that truth never be forgotten.
Jesus knows…
