God, I Don’t Have All the Answers.

I used to be afraid to speak up about my faith. It wasn’t that I was ashamed of being a Christian or loving Jesus—I’ve always loved Him deeply. But I was afraid I wouldn’t have all the answers, that I couldn’t defend my faith properly or recall scriptures on the spot. Ever felt that way?

For so long, I would avoid confrontation of any kind. I’d water down my walk with Christ, not because I doubted Him, but because I feared what would be said back to me. What if I couldn’t answer someone’s tough question? What if I said the wrong thing? The fear of not being “enough” kept me quiet. But here’s the thing: that fear wasn’t from God.

If you know me now, you know that God makes His way into every conversation, and I have no issues sharing His truth. But that didn’t happen overnight. I still don’t have all the answers. Sometimes I still struggle to recall verses, especially when my brain feels foggy from the chaos of life. But I’m no longer held by that fear. I’m no longer afraid of being corrected, even by other Christians. And here’s why…

I learned something that changed everything for me: I could have all the knowledge in the world, but that wouldn’t mean I was walking closely with Jesus. Knowledge is important, but it’s not the foundation of my faith—my relationship with Him is.

I love Jesus more than words can say. I’m so thankful for all the dark valleys He’s walked through with me, for the moments when I’ve felt completely lost, and He’s held me close. He’s not just my Savior; He’s my best friend. We talk all day, every day. I tell Him everything, from my worries to my joys, and in those moments, I realize that it’s not about having every answer—it’s about knowing the One who is the answer.

Jesus didn’t call me to be a walking encyclopedia of scripture. He called me to love Him, to follow Him, and to share that love with others. It’s in those honest, vulnerable conversations where I don’t have all the answers, but I do have the faith to point to Him, that I see God moving the most.

So if you’ve ever felt like you need to know everything before you can speak up about your faith, let me encourage you: You don’t. What people really need to see is your genuine relationship with Jesus. Let them see the love, the peace, and the joy He gives you. Be yourself in Christ, and watch how God uses that to inspire others to embrace their own walk with Him.

It’s not about being perfect or knowing it all. It’s about walking with Jesus and letting Him shine through you, in all your beautiful, imperfect moments. Trust Him to give you the words when you need them. And when you don’t have the answer, it’s okay to simply say, “I don’t know, but I know the One who does.”
