Sharing your love for God is a passionate and rewarding mission, aimed at both uplifting believers and reaching those who may not yet know His love. However, this journey can sometimes be met with challenges and opposition. Okay, let me simply put it this way… Sharing your love for God can be downright hard!
Recently, I posted a quote on social media, and the response was overwhelming, though not always positive. It seemed like a wave of passionate critics, often referred to as "keyboard warriors," unleashed a barrage of harsh and hurtful comments. As someone who's sensitive, reading those comments felt like a dagger to my heart.
But here's the essential truth: the path of following Jesus isn't a path of ease. When we look at the lives of many biblical figures, we see that they faced trials, adversity, and opposition while standing for their beliefs.
Take Jesus, for instance. He encountered intense opposition, ridicule, and ultimately gave His life for His convictions. The early apostles and disciples also faced hostility and persecution as they spread the message of salvation. Yet, in the face of adversity, they remained resolute in their commitment to God's calling.
When the attacks and criticisms get overwhelming, remember that you're not alone in this journey. Many before us have faced similar challenges. What sets us apart is our unwavering faith, our passion for sharing God's love, and our commitment to following the footsteps of those who have paved the way.
In times of difficulty, our faith is tested and refined. We can draw inspiration from the courage of biblical figures and find comfort in knowing that God's love and purpose transcend any challenges we encounter. As we continue to share His love, we do so with the understanding that our faith serves as a beacon of hope in a world that often needs it desperately. So, keep going. Keep sharing. Keep trying to reach into the dark places. Keep shining the light of God to anyone and everyone. Keep encouraging others to share His love with the world too. It’s so essential.
