So, let me share with you the whirlwind that was this week for my little family. With the summer holidays coming to an end and the impending return to school, coupled with my best friends wedding on the horizon, our days were a frenzy of preparations and excitement.
As the events approached, I couldn't help but feel a familiar wave of anxiety. The anticipation of potential pain and the looming specter of chronic fatigue always cast shadows on such occasions. Yet, this year, life seemed to be taking a different course for me.
You see, I've been on a journey of self-discovery and resilience. Battling fear and anxiety at extreme levels, I came to a realization: I was expending energy worrying about things beyond my control. Living in constant anticipation of what tomorrow might bring, I decided it was time to reclaim the present moment.
The big day, the wedding, arrived, demanding an early start for hair and makeup sessions. Throughout the entire day, I consciously rested in the Lord, seeking His strength and guidance. Instead of giving voice to the chronic pain that often accompanied such events, I chose to push forward. Did I make it through the entire day without acknowledging my limitations? No, I didn't. I've learned the importance of listening to my body, recognizing when it needs respite, and honoring that need.
As I reflect on this experience, I am struck by the growth I've undergone. The realization that some things are beyond my control has given me the freedom to live more fully in the moment. It's not about ignoring challenges but about facing them with resilience, leaning on God's strength, and embracing the wisdom to pause and rest when necessary.
This week was a testament to a newfound perspective—a shift from anxiety-ridden anticipation to a more present and intentional way of living. Each moment became an opportunity to rest in the Lord's grace, drawing strength for the journey ahead.
May we all find the courage to release the grip of worry over the uncontrollable and embrace the beauty of living in the now, guided by the strength that comes from above.
I hope you enjoyed a little glimpse of behind the scenes today and I cant wait to bring you more and thank you for coming along for the journey. We never know what the next post could be lol. Love Sarah, xx.
